A fish is legendary among divers and aquarists, this beautiful mandarin fish, dragonet or Mandarin, is a member of the family dragonet (Callionymidae), which consists of about 125 species.
The name is derived from Mandarin mandarin fish color silk robes of the 19th century. Resemble blennies and gobies, and are often called mandarines governments, for this reason, even if blennies and gobies are not in the same family of fish. Although quite common, slow, difficult to detect because they are small, timid, and bottom-dwelling.
Mandarin fish are large, brightly colored wings, and are usually in search of small crustaceans and other invertebrates messy at the bottom or on the reef heads. They can grow to about 2.4 inches (6 cm), and are found in most parts of the Indo-West Pacific, including Indonesia, Australia and New Guinea.
