Dorado Fish

Dorado means gold in Spanish. Is a name for a fish that can turn a bright gold along the sides, but they are generally bright greenish blue along the back and have liberal amounts of blue spots and the pectoral fins are very bright Electric blue.

Dorado is one of the most successful and fish are found in tropical waters worldwide. In Australia and most of the Atlantic, the species is named Dolphin (not be confused with a family of marine mammals of the same name). In Hawaii they are called Mahi Mahi. Dorados are the major fly fishing rod for a variety of reasons. They are very strong and acrobatic.
